Forest Township to hold Community Development Hearing
The Forest Township will hold a Community Development Public Needs Hearing on Nov.12, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at 130 E. Main St., Otisville, MI.
The purpose of the hearing is to offer an opportunity for citizens to express their ideas on community needs and project proposals concerning the use of Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for the 2028-2030 Program Years.
The Forest Township Board of Trustees expects to receive approximately $ 36,599 of 2028-2030 CDBG funds. The funds are provided by the Genesee County Metropolitan Planning Commission Community Development Program from an annual entitlement grant received from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The funds are intended primarily for projects in low- and moderate-income neighborhoods.
